Day 26: Your favorite scene in The Hunger Games.
District 11 sending Katniss the bread meant for Rue. That’s the first scene in the whole trilogy that actually made me emotional.
Day 27: Your favorite scene in Catching Fire.
Peeta comforting the dying Morphling from District 6. That was a really touching scene.
Day 28: Your favorite scene in Mockingjay.
Hands down, Finnick and Annie’s wedding, including the reception.
Day 29: Your favorite thing about the entire series.
How gray it is. There isn’t any wholly good or wholly evil character. Every major player has a reason or several for doing the things they’re doing, and the characters we consider “good” are capable of doing just as questionable things as the characters we’re made to believe are “evil.” Collins does a masterful job at that, and also at creating an environment that sucks you in and only lets you go when it wants to.
And even when it’s all over, you’re still full of questions. It’s fantastic.
